Rookpot is Farynshire’s administrative and cultural capital.

It sprawls across a steep bisected tor that is split in two by a narrow gorge gouged out by the cold waters of the Darkflint river.

Wessentor is the ancient heart of the city, riven by cuts, narrow cobbled streets, and wide characterful Squares: the most famous of which is Dameg Square.  Split in two by the gorge at its narrowest, Dameg Square is where you’ll find the weathered twelfth century Cathedral, the red-bricked Council Chambers, the grand Museum, and the glass-fronted Library.  These surround the small green where students, workers on lunch breaks, and those with no fear of heights, can sit with their legs dangling over the edge of the gorge, under the solitary oak tree that leans into the dark damp chasm.
